Description

Modern engines that use gear drives to drive their camshafts or balance shaft etc. often have a sprung loaded split gear in the gear train. These split gears reduce gear chatter and noise. However, when it comes to service and repair they can often make disassembly and assembly of the drive train difficult. This tool is designed to clamp onto the gear and hold the 2 gear halves in alignment, making assembly and disassembly easier. Tested and proven on Vauxhall 1.3 CDTi (B13) diesel engine camshafts and BMW B37 1.5L diesel balance shaft gears.
  • Applications include: Vauxhall/Opel Corsa E, 1.3 diesel (from 2015). Engine codes: LKU/B13DTE, LKU/B13DTR and LKV/B13DTC.
  • Applications also include: BMW 1.5 Diesel 1 Series (from 2015), 2 series (from 2014), X1 (from 2015) and BMW MINI One (from 2014) with engine codes: B37 C15A and B37 D15A.
  • Also suitable for some Mercedes Benz applications.
  • Equivalent to OEM numbers BMW 11 5 370 and 654 589 00 31 00, Mercedes 654 589 00 31 00 and Vauxhall/Opel EN-50509.
  • Made in Sheffield.
